Both bores and beautiful people

I checked out of my big breezy hostel in the morning - what with my allergy to backpackers en masse, it wasn't a good place to be. I was starting to feel the usual symptoms of light-headedness and then growing rage. Why come all the way to a long way from anywhere if all you feel inclined to do is mooch around a hostel? With a pack of mates? In the queue for a computer? Cooking your favourite meal from home - without all the authentic ingredients of course but local substitutes (sigh) will have to do? What kind of adventurous are you if you spend all day and night discussing how to get a bus to the next place, what boat trip, which hostel to stay in, in which dorm, on what night? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH. Why glue yourself to your guidebook if you're a HUMAN BEING and therefore have CONSCIOUS DECISION-MAKING SKILLS AND THUMBS? Really, why bother? Best to stay at home and watch The Travel Channel.
I was distracted - in the nick of time - by the reception desk which was swarming with a team of gorgeous women. The man on night duty the day before had been very attractive too. The cleaners were cute as well. So much shiny black hair. So many flashing black eyes. So much slinkiness and curves and humour and sex appeal. Once again I pondered an important question - Are Argentinians the most beautiful nation on earth? And if so is it the meat that does it? Or the Mate?
